JOB PURPOSE:
- Provide overall supervision and quality control for the
publishing production process of ADB's knowledge and awareness-raising
products by ensuring standards and deadlines are met and clients
properly serviced.
- Function as the intermediary between production
staff and ADB clients, and be responsible for the overall quality
output of knowledge products processed by the DER Publishing Team.
- Work
with broad policies and objectives, working directly with clients, with
supervision for critical tasks.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
Knowledge Product Development and Client
Relations
- Provides overall quality assurance for the knowledge products
developed by ADB departments and offices, ensuring the underlying
message, theme or concept of the content created by the knowledge
source is properly converted into the target media, to ADB standards
and deadlines.
- Functions as the intermediary between DER and client
departments/offices during the production phase of publishing, making
use of excellent client relation skills.
- Meets with clients and
provides regular project status information and resolves issues that
may arise.
- Responsible for all production processes required to
complete a knowledge or awareness-raising product, whether using DER
staff, consultants, or contractors.
- Manages the Publishing Request Tracking System for monitoring jobs
and provides regular reports to DER management.
- Responsible for moving projects through the standard ADB publishing
process until project completion to deadline.
- Responsible for final quality assurance.
- Responsible for overall efficiencies and productivity of the
production team.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Publishing, Fine Arts, Design, Communications, Marketing, Business
Administration, or Advertising or related field
Relevant Experience
and Other Requirements:
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities
mentioned above at the required level
- At least 8 years' publishing experience
- Coordination skills as a
project traffic manager in an advertising agency or publishing
operation handling multiple jobs at once
- Editorial skills and academic or instructional experience an advantage
Supervisory and administrative experience Strong interpersonal,
communications and client relations skills
- Ability to coordinate,
oversee, administer, and evaluate the production of ADB knowledge
products
- Familiarity with key ADB activities and knowledge products an advantage
