The employers I worked for were – UNDP Assisted Project under the Ministry of Social Welfare (GOB), Voluntary Health Services Society (VHSS), ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB), Centre for Development Services (CDS), Care Bangladesh, ACLAB, Gono Shahajjo Sangstha (GSS) etc. Before joining this organization, I had been in senior positions of different national and international organizations for more than 10 years.

Responsibilities:

3) Establishment of partnership with Civil Surgeon’s Office, Jessore and arrangement of satellite health centers inside Jessore brothel for treatment of sex workers and their children attended by MOCS.
4) Formation of forum of NGOs that have activities for sex workers in brothel areas and success in prevention of human rights of sex workers.
5) Establishment of partnership with local administration offices (i.e. Dept. for Youth Development, Dept. of Social Services, Dept. of Women Affairs, Dept. of Family Planning, Bangladesh Small & Cottage Industries Corporation, Civil Surgeon’s Office, Deputy Commissioner’s Office etc.)
6) Participation of family members of sex workers’ in trainings organized by the Dept. of Youth Development, GOB and BSCIC.

11) A total of 59 children of sex workers were admitted to different govt. schools.
12) A total of 14 sex workers were rehabilitated under scheme titled “Resettlement Investment Fund-RIF”. These sex workers left brothel and never returned to their old profession.
