Job Purpose
Provide assistance to Superiors and colleague through performance of assigned technical tasks in quality testing, research and development of inks, lacquers and other related products thereby contributing to the smooth workflow and greater efficiency and productivity of the Ink Making Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts laboratory tests of new samples of pigments, resins, and other chemicals relative to the tasks of the department.
Assists the Ink Making Department Manager in formulating new product lines of inks and lacquers.
Conducts laboratory tests of incoming raw materials ( solubility, color, physical & chemical compatibility, etc. ) for ink production.
Conducts laboratory tests of print packaging from the Converting Department to check quality on printability, solvent retention, color, etc.
Updates, maintains and safe keeps records of laboratory tests conducted and other pertinent documents.
Checks and reports conditions of laboratory instruments.
Sees to it that all approved SOPs relative to the job are strictly observed to and adhered to.
Helps in maintenance of cleanliness and order in work areas, including assigned office machines and other materials being used.
Attends meetings as instructed by Superiors.
Attends seminars and training activities as required.
